Our Traditional Worship service takes place in the Worship Center every Sunday. The music in the traditional service is mostly traditional hymns and gospel songs led by the Celebration Choir with piano, organ, handbells and orchestra.

We incorporate prayer, soloists, vocal ensembles, scripture reading, giving and a sermon that is preached by our lead pastor, Dr. Denny Wright.

Balboa Baptist has an abundance of opportunities to study God’s Word from Sunday morning Bible classes and weekly study groups.

Our Contemporary Worship Service takes place every Sunday in our Outreach Center. The singing in this service is led by a band consisting of guitars, drums, bass, keys/piano, and three or four singers. It is comprised mostly of modern worship songs, while still including a modernized hymn here and there. It includes all elements of Biblical Christian worship including, prayer, scripture reading, sound Biblical teaching and singing.

There is also always a variety of delicious hot coffee available in the lobby of the Outreach Center before the service. There is no specific dress code. The pastors and worship leaders will usually be in jeans. So, feel free to come as you are!

The goal of this service is to lead people of all ages in worshipping the Lord in a style that feels modern and vibrant while still holding fast to the unchanging truths of scripture.

Description: “We AR Fit” is a women’s exercise class developed to strengthen all the body’s muscle groups. This is achieved by using weight bearing exercises, stretching, and balance routines. There is room for you to join this fun and friendly class.

Description: Pickleball is a paddleball sport that combines elements of badmitton, table tennis and tennis. Two or four players use solid paddles made of wood or composite materials to hit a perforated polymer ball, much like a wiffle ball. Balboa Baptist has coaches that are on hand to help beginners learn the sport. A variety of levels of competitive players participate.
Frequency: MWF of every week (10:00 am – 2:00 pm)
