What does a rainbow represent? It is a reminder of a time the world became so sinful, repulsive, immoral, and perverted that God sent a flood. It is a beautiful symbol of God’s covenant because a man and his family who did not join in on the decadence, but obeyed God. The rainbow is a symbol of God’s mercy to save those not sucked in by the immorality of the day. It is God’s promise not to destroy the earth with a flood again.
