Referees in the Super Bowl coming up February 11 are not there to be popular, but to make sure the rules are followed. They will get booed, but that’s OK because they are not there to please the crowd. The true Church is not called to be popular, but holy. We will get booed for obeying the Bible, but that’s OK, because we don’t work for the culture of this world. The church is here to please the Father in Heaven.
We are fearfully & wonderfully made. We must base our decisions on the Doctrine of Creation. Ps 139:13-16 makes it clear that the life of the unborn is sacred from the point of conception in the womb.
God’s grace is greater than all our sin. Abortion is the product of a spiritually darkened society that has lost sight of the sacred (Romans 1:24, 26, 28). Yet God has provided the grace to forgive all who have condoned and practiced the killing of the unborn. In His Son Jesus Christ, God has fulfilled all that is necessary to provide forgiveness for all our sins. God’s grace is indeed greater than all our sin and He offers forgiveness to all who put faith in Jesus as Lord. God is holy and expects us to live holy lives. Followers of Jesus Christ are called to live by His Word in the Bible. So, what does the Bible say?
First, God creates and knits-together a pre-born baby in a mother’s womb. “For it was You who created my inward parts; You knit me together in my mother’s womb” (Psalm 139:13). Second, God makes a pre-born baby remarkably and wondrously. “I will praise You because I have been remarkably and wondrously made. Your works are wondrous, and I know this very well” (Psalm 139:14). Third, God sees the pre-born baby. “My bones were not hidden from You when I was made in secret, when I was formed in the depths of the earth” (Psalm 139:15). Finally, God has a plan for the life of a pre-born baby. “Your eyes saw me when I was formless; all my days were written in Your book and planned before a single one of them began” (Psalm 139:16).
You can boo all you want, but you will stand before your Creator soon. You will answer to Him. Praise the Father who created us and forgives us.
