Don’t Miss Your Turn

Don’t Miss Your Turn

You might say, “Don’t they know that faith is a private thing. Faith is between the ears and it should be kept between the ears. Don’t push your religion on me.”

Jesus told his disciples that if a village rejects the message of salvation, shake the dust off your feet at the city limits and go to the next village. So, yes we are willing to leave you alone and move on to the next person.

But, everyone has only a few more days on this earth, so time is limited. The message of salvation is urgent. And most of all, Jesus commanded us to tell others about Him, to tell them how they can be saved by faith, not by religion, not by being good, and not by keeping rules, but by faith. What an amazing gift Jesus has given us called grace.

Jesus commanded us to tell you in a loving and truth-telling way. Jesus commanded, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the farthest parts of the earth” (Acts 1:8 NET).

A witness tells what they have seen and heard and experienced. We have experienced the saving grace of God, total forgiveness, and the assurance of eternal life in heaven.

Jesus wants us to be witnesses everywhere we go in the world. The world hates to be told they need a relationship with God instead of a religion. The world hates being told they are sinners in need of a Savior. The world hates to the told that they are not good enough to go to heaven, but they can receive it as a gift when they put their faith in Jesus.

“Enter through the narrow gate, because the gate is wide and the way is spacious that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. How narrow is the gate and difficult the way that leads to life, and there are few who find it!” (Matthew 7:13-14 NET). There’s a multi-lane interstate going to hell, but a narrow sidewalk to heaven. Don’t miss your turn. Listen to the message and believe.
