With one of the most active ministries in the Village we have something for everyone.
We want people to follow Jesus and engage one another to live out a purposeful life by growing in fellowship with one another, in discipleship by following Christ, in ministry by serving one another, in outreach by reaching out to others, and in worship by honoring God in all things.
God is the creator and ruler of the universe. People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character.
Cooperate with one another in carrying forward the ministries for the extension of Christ’s Kingdom.
Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith.
The new birth of man’s spirit by God’s Holy Spirit means the birth of love for others.
Your generosity enables us to fulfill our mission of engaging people to find and follow Jesus locally and around the world.
My mother was a great cook. After the nest was empty, she cooked a huge noon meal every Monday for us. She usually cooked a feast of two meats, four or five vegetables, rolls, and two or three deserts. Certain foods remind me of Laquita Joy Cooper Wright, like green chili chicken enchiladas, chicken fried steak, and coconut pie.
The phrase “go down the rabbit hole” probably comes from the 19th century novel Alice’s Adventures In Wonderland by Lewis Carroll published in 1865. Alice crawls into and falls down the rabbit hole and ends up in a strange place called Wonderland.
In America our rights to religious liberty and free speech are being undermined. From cake makers to web designers, Christians who follow their biblical convictions are dragged into court and their businesses labeled off-limits. They pay dearly to live out their faith.
What’s the key to waiting? I vividly remember running laps in basketball practice. Coach would have us run plays over and over. We would rehearse full-court press and half-court presses. Repeatedly we ran through man-to-man and zone defenses. In coach’s arsenal of fitness training was bench jumping, line drills, and running up the bleachers. Then after all of that, we would run laps. Coach would set the game clock on ten minutes, and we would run for what seemed like for hours.
